See you on the mat!
Approach
When choosing a Yoga teacher, it's important to understand their background, influences and approach to teaching so you can feel comfortable and get the most out of your time together. Most importantly, so you can can relate to them on a human level.
Background
- I work in an office 9-5, Monday to Friday and struggle with the same aches and pains of desk life as you.
- I started practicing in 2015 to improve my mental health and manage recurring anxiety.
- With practice I started to notice, anxiety was not the first thing on my mind when I woke up in the morning.
- I trained in 2018 under the guidance of Andrea Everingham so I could share the practice with you.
Beliefs & Influences
- I believe our mind, body, indeed all life, is deeply interconnected.
- That we seek happiness any joy!
- However you feel right now, come as you are, not how others expect you to be.
- Traditional Yoga & Buddhist philosophy have shaped my experience of the world. I'll sometimes share these teachings, with a modern twist, relevant to your daily life.
Classes
Vinyasa Flow
- The fastest, most dynamic style of Yoga I teach.
- A moving meditation focused on continual movement and conscious breathing.
- Great when you feel full of beans and want to burn off some energy after a day sat at your desk!
Hatha Yoga
- A more traditional practice
- Hold poses for longer periods to build strength, flexibility and mindfulness.
- Great to improve your confidence with Yoga postures and build a strong, flexible body.
Slow Flow
- Similar to Vinyasa Flow except we slow.things.right.down...
- Great for when you’re feeling a little bit wired and want something to bring you back to Earth.
Meditation
- Improve your focus, self-awareness and compassion.
- Learn to understand how your mind reacts in certain situations.
- Great whatever the weather!
